Kedarnath Tour – A Heaven on Earth

Kedarnath is located at an elevation of 3584 metres and is well-known for the presence of Lord Kedarnath’s temple (Lord Shiva). It is a majestic temple built by the Pandavas at the base of the Kedarnath Peak facing the south-eastern Kedar Parvat, where millions of people pray to Lord Shiva.

The Kedarnath Tour begins at Gaurikund, where there is a well-known hot water sulphur spring. People take a holy bath in that spring to relieve the fatigue of walking, and the trail thereafter leads the trekkers through lush forests and some fascinating and radiant waterfalls. Trekking across Kedarnath will result in a steady rise along the Vasukital and a significant trekking accomplishment. Trekkers can enjoy a spectacular view of the Chaukhamba Peaks and the Mandakini Valley. The Vasukital Lake, with its crystal clear waters, enchants visitors all around the Kedarnath Valley.

Kedarnath Temple

Kedarnath Temple is one of India’s most revered temples and holiest Hindu pilgrimages. Kedarnath, part of the Chota Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, is the most revered of India’s 12 Jyotirlingas devoted to Lord Shiva. Devotees think that visiting this temple will help them break away from the cycle of life. The temple’s inner walls are sculpted with representations of numerous deities and situations from mythology.

Vasuki Tal

The Tal, a lake at an elevation of 4135 metres, provides a picturesque perspective of the neighbouring Chaukhamba mountain. Trekkers will love this, as it is a perfect range for climbing. En way to the lake, the Chaturangi and Vasuki glaciers may be found.

Sonprayag

Atop 1829 m. Sonprayag is a small hamlet located on the picturesque banks of the Mandakini and Basuki rivers. Devotees take a plunge in the holy waters in order to achieve nirvana.

Agastyamuni

The temple is dedicated to Saint Agastya and remembers his one-year Tapas (meditation) here. This ancient temple exemplifies great construction and interior design, with wall art covering its walls.
