2023 Yamaha Fascino 125: All you need to know

The 2023 iteration of the Yamaha Fascino 125 is an updated version with the same engine and design but with newly added features. The main reason behind taking out this new model was to meet the new norms of BS6 compliance. Having said that, the Fascino price has also been revised, thanks to the updated BS6 engine. Furthermore, the new model has only one variant available, making it, unlike the predecessor with five variants. At the same time, the 2023 model currently has one colour option only.

For your reference, the Yamaha website has delisted the pre-updated model of the Fascino 125.
However, it would be better, especially for the environment and your pockets (in terms of running costs), if you upgrade your scooter to a 2023 manufactured model. There will be more Yamaha bikes and scooters that will receive the updated BS6 engines.
So, if you are planning to buy a reliable two-wheeler under Rs 1 lakh, below are the things that you should keep in mind.

Engine and other Specifications

As mentioned before, the 2023 model is an updated version with an updated BS6 engine. The updated 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine has the same engine output as before. It continues to pump out 8.04 bhp at 6500 rpm and 10.3 Nm of peak torque at 5000 rpm. This engine is coupled with a CVT gearbox unit.
This scooter stores its fuel in its 5.2-litre fuel tank. Speaking of which, the 2022 Yamaha Fascino 125 had a real-world mileage of 50 km/l. You can expect the same or similar fuel efficiency from the 2023 model. Please note that this mileage figure is as per the feedback from the owners.

Yes, that’s an impressive fuel economy, due to which you can make interstate journeys, if willing to, without worrying about the running costs. With that mileage figure, this scooter shouldn’t let anyone lament the pockets getting pinched. Moreover, you can check out the latest location-based Fascino 125 price on the autoX website.
In addition, these BS6 two-wheelers are fuel efficient, thanks to the fuel injection technology. Just so you know, the central government of India ordered all the two-wheeler manufacturers to use that technology while producing BS6 engines.

It has several pros to it, as it offers a clean and controlled fuel supply system to the engine, due to which there is no fuel wastage. At the same time, BS6 bikes are also less laggy in nature, especially at low and high revs. That said, the fuel injection technology also works well while riding the two-wheeler uphill. It can make the two-wheeler less jerky.
Besides that, the Yamaha Fascino 125 speedometer needle can touch the two-digit 90 km/h figure.
In addition, the performance of the Fascino is similar to the Activa, that’s why they both are direct rivals. You can check out the Honda Activa price as well.

Engine

Asides from the engine output, let’s now jump to other specifications of the Yamaha Fascino 125.
As far as the suspension setup is concerned, this two-wheeler from Yamaha Scooty stands on a telescopic fork at the front and a unit swing at the rear. It has the same setup as before. This scooter, however, has proven to offer a smooth ride quality, and it can absorb the bumps from potholes with ease. Yes, it can glide through patches without letting the passenger(s) jostle much. Moving further, this suspenion arrangement stands on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear rims. The front has a tyre profile of 90/90 R12, while the rear has a profile of 110/90 R10. Both tyres get alloy rims.

Moreover, the braking duties are taken care of by the disc-drum brakes. As mentioned earlier, the new model has only one variant, due to which the Fascino has a standard brake setup. For added safety, the Yamaha Fascino 125 has an anti-braking system, and that too with CBS., which stands for the combined braking system. Just so you know, a two-wheeler with dual disc brake and dual-channel ASB will always provide better safety and stability over the single disc brake and single-channel ABS. With the former combination, it can prevent the bike from making a stoppie or skidding during emergency braking. As mentioned above, it also offers stability, especially around the corners at high speeds, and that too on wet roads.

Features

The 2023 model of the Yamaha Fascino 125 boasts better features than the pre-facelifted model. This Japanese scooter packs an OBD-2 sensor and is compatible with E-20 fuel. However, it continues to retain Bluetooth connectivity that works in tandem with Yamaha’s in-house developed Y-Connect smartphone application. It can show relevant readings, such as fuel consumption, last parking location, malfunction alerts, revs dashboard, rider ranking, and upcoming service(s), to name a few. Moreover, it continues to offer a fully digital instrument cluster, which shows speed, RPMs, fuel gauge, and the trip made. Other notable features comprise under-seat storage of 21 litres, automatic headlights, standing alarm, low fuel indicator, kick and electric start, and in-built side-stand engine cut-off switch. As for the exterior illumination, the Yamaha Fascino 125 offers LED lights at the front and rear but halogen bulb indicators.

Besides that, this 125cc scooter offers a pillion seat with its respective grabrail and footrests.
You can, however, check out the curated list of features and specifications of this bike or of any other vehicle on the autoX website. That said, you can compare it with other vehicles, along with the price list.
