Stainless Steel XM-19 Hex Bolt

XM 19 stainless steel hex bolts consist of a material known as UNS S20910 or Nitronic 50. The material contains carbon, manganese, phosphorus, silver, silicon, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and other trace elements. XM-19 stainless steel hex bolts have high corrosion resistance due to 20% chromium and 11% nickel in the composition.

The material is austenitic stainless steel reinforced with nitrogen. It has better mechanical properties than materials 304 and 316. The XM 19 stainless steel hex bolt is a class of fasteners where there are other classes, such as bolts, nuts, and washers.

The material can be annealed, rolled, or manufactured for high-strength applications. Annealed fasteners range from 1 inch to 12 inches, materials in rolls from 2 inches to 6 inches, and high-strength fasteners range from 1 inch to 24 inches. The XM-19 steel nut is so strong and corrosion-resistant that it can be used in highly corrosive applications such as chemicals, fertilizers, and petrochemical applications.

Nitronic 50 fasteners are also used in marine, nuclear, petroleum, pulp and paper, textile, and food applications. The dimensions of the fasteners are regulated by various international standards, such as ASME SA 320 SS XM-19 hex bolts. The high-strength bonding material is produced by second annealing and then cold working.

This increases the physical strength of the attachment so that it can be used in high-strength applications. There are different types like Alloy 50 Stud Bolt that are used in different applications. It is also used to make chains, cables, tools, hardware, tanks, and other structures.

The high chromium and nickel content of Stainless Steel XM19 hex bolts provide comparable corrosion resistance, and excellent oxidation resistance and retain a higher proportion of strength at room temperature than conventional austenitic alloys. XM19 stainless steel hex nuts are often used for high-temperature applications due to their high chromium and nickel content, which provide solid corrosion resistance.
